" Change is an opportunity to do something amazing!" - George Couros
This is one of my favorite quotes at the moment, from one of my new education "brain crushes" George Couros. It is my hope that we can find ways to grow through this together with our artistic adventures and delve into all the incredible ways the ARTS cultivate curiosity, develop problem solvers/problem finders, develop empathy, and allow for exploration! Here are a couple of articles I found to be very interesting and helpful primarily as a parent :)

Here are some videos that I use at the high school that speak to some of the things I mentioned in my video. I am always amazed at how hard it is for some high school students to have choice in what they are making. It paralyzes them and they say. . . "aren't you going to tell me what I should make?". These videos do a great job of discussing some of the ways we can engage in idea generation and being creative. Consider this. . . if I am telling you exactly what we are making, what size it will be, what medium you have to use, what the subject matter is, and how it should look, WHO IS THE ARTIST?
